| John Zorn was talking in Houston, and as a teenager played piano, guitar and flute.
After releasing albums on several American and Asian labels, Zorn signed with the Elektra-Nonesuch label and attracted wide acclaim in 1986 with his interpretations of sculpture composed by Coltrane, the album Buy Cheap Cialis in 1987 and the first album by Naked City in 1999. Early major plays included much more "game pieces", in which performers are allowed to improvise while following certain structural rules. |
